Sources of Support
At its inception, the publication and free dissemination of IHE was made possible thanks to generous support from the Ford Foundation and more recently has received support from the Carnegie Corporation of New York. IHE has also been indebted to the Boston College University Libraries for their administrative and technical assistance. The leadership of Boston College, as well as the Lynch School of Education and Human Development, has provided since the inception of the Center for International Higher Education crucial support and continues to do so.
International Higher Education (IHE) was launched by the Boston College Center for International Higher Education in Spring 1995. Since that time, it has consistently produced four issues per year, under the guidance of its founding editor, Dr. Philip G. Altbach. The current editorial team consists of Philip G. Altbach, Hans de Wit, Rebecca Schendel, Gerardo Blanco and Chris Glass.
