Philip G. Altbach is Distinguished Fellow of the Center for International Higher Education (CIHE) at Boston College. He is also Research Professor of International Higher Education at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development, Boston College. He was founding director of CIHE, 1995–2015. He has served as editor of the Comparative Education Review and of the Review of Higher Education and was Distinguished Scholar Leader of the Fulbright New Century Scholars program. He has been on the faculty at the State University of New York at Buffalo, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Harvard University and has been visiting professor at the University of Bombay (India) and Stanford University.
Hans de Wit is Distinguished Fellow of the Center for International Higher Education (CIHE) and Professor Emeritus at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development of Boston College. He was director of CIHE, 2015–2020. He is founding editor of the Journal of Studies in Higher Education, consulting editor of Policy Reviews in Higher Education and co-edits the book series Global Perspectives in Higher Education (Brill/Sense). He is Senior Fellow of the International Association of Universities (IAU), chair of the Board of Trustees of World Education Services and publishes on—as well as advises (inter)national entities and institutions of higher education around the world about—the internationalization of higher education.
Rebecca Schendel is Managing Director of the Center for International Higher Education and assistant professor at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development of Boston College. Rebecca has previously served on the faculty of the UCL Institute of Education (UK) and has worked at Orphans of Rwanda (a university scholarship program based in Kigali, Rwanda), in the Study Abroad Office at the University of Maryland-College Park and at the Institute of International Education in Washington, DC.
Gerardo Blanco is Academic Director of the Center for International Higher Education and associate professor at Boston College’s Lynch School of Education and Human Development. He has been a faculty member at the University of Massachusetts Boston and the University of Connecticut, where he also served as the faculty director of Global House. He has been a visiting faculty member at Shaanxi Normal University in Xi’an, China and at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, Poland.
Chris Glass, Ph.D. is a Professor of the Practice in the Department of Educational Leadership and Higher Education at Boston College where he leads the Executive Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education program and serves as an affiliated faculty member in the Center for International Higher Education (CIHE). His research and writing focus on global student mobility, virtual mobility and exchange, as well as equity, inclusion, and sustainability in international higher education.
